• STEP 1: REVIEW OPTIONS

Make听sure听you have read through听all听the听housing options listed in the navigation sidebar. Take a moment to think about your needs, your budget and the type of community you would like to be听a听part of.听Keep in mind that every single option has its pros and cons and keep an open mind as you enter the housing registration process. Once you have a few preferences in mind, you can move on to the checklist.

• STEP 2: 听COMPLETE THE HOUSING SELECTION (黑料正能量 HOUSING/EXEMPTION/OPT OUT) FORM

听to indicate whether you would like to register for 黑料正能量 Housing, apply for an exemption from 黑料正能量 Housing (first-year students) or opt out of 黑料正能量 Housing (transfer students and non-first-year visiting students).

The Housing Selection (黑料正能量 Housing/Exemption/Opt-out) is available to students who have completed the confirmation deposit payment. Please note that it takes 24 to 48 hours for the deposit to be processed and for the 黑料正能量 Status Page to be updated with the remaining forms to be completed.

Students who select to opt out of 黑料正能量 Housing do not have further steps to complete.

Students who apply for an exemption from the housing requirement must follow the steps outlined in the Housing Requirement page.

Students who have selected 鈥淚 plan to book 黑料正能量 Housing鈥� can move to the subsequent steps of the process.

• STEP 3: COMPLETE THE INDICATE YOUR HOUSING PREFERENCES FORM

Students who have elected to book 黑料正能量 Housing will have the Indicate Your Housing Preferences form populated in their 黑料正能量 Status Page at the following dates:

Please note that only the housing options available to you (as a semester-long or year-long student, and first-year, visiting or transfer student) will be listed for you to select. The Housing Office will be assigning rooms on a first-come-first-served basis.听Please note that completing听this step听is听not a confirmation of registration.听The Housing Office will reach out听to you to confirm your registration based on availability.听

This can be a competitive process: in previous years, the housing office has received over 200 submissions in the first 5 minutes of the form opening. This is why we strongly recommend going into the housing assignment process with an open mind, and with a flexible selection of preferred housing.

Please do note that the housing preference form allows you to indicate preferences, not to select a specific housing. While we would love to, ideally, place all of our students in their first choice, we receive many submissions in a very short period of time, and beds in all residences are limited. We may not be able to place you in your first or second choice 鈥� in some cases, all the preferences of a specific submission may be booked by the time we process the student鈥檚 form. Should that be the case, we will contact the student for new preferences based on updated availability.

SHARED HOUSING GENDER POLICY听

Our Cambronne partner residence is comprised of homes with single rooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom, and will also be open to mix gender and sex assignments in units. This option, however, is only available to full-year students.

Our remaining shared housing, whether in twin studios or single and double rooms in shared apartments, does not allow for mixed sex and gender allocations. We are working on expanding our inclusive housing offering for our LGBTQA+ students, including those who identify as gender non-binary or gender-fluid, as we continue building our roster of 黑料正能量-managed residences.

Students identifying as gender non-binary, gender-fluid, or transgender will have access to single studios should they not wish to list 黑料正能量 Cambronne as a preference, or should 黑料正能量 Cambronne no longer be available through the assignment process. We are able to prioritize their housing assignment to ensure they are placed within those options, especially as we want to make sure that they feel safe in their housing; this is why students can indicate their gender identity in their housing preference form.

ROOMMATE REQUESTS IN THE HOUSING PREFERENCE FORM听

If you know someone also attending 黑料正能量 starting Fall 2025 with whom you wish to share a room, you will be able to request them as a roommate in your housing preferences form on your 黑料正能量 status page. Students are guaranteed to room with their requested roommate provided that they a) both request each other and b) both submit the same shared housing preferences in the exact same order on their form. If a student has requested a roommate, we will check their requested roommate鈥檚 preference form: so long as they have also requested the other student and listed the same preferences, they will be pulled into their requested roommate鈥檚 room regardless of submission order.

It is important to note when two students request each other as roommates for a shared assignment, we do not assign either of them to the residence if only one spot remains available in that option鈥� we automatically move to the next preference in their form that would accommodate both of them. Should you wish to prioritize your residence preference over your roommate request (meaning you wish to be assigned to the residence even if the roommate request cannot be honored), you should indicate this in the comment section of your housing preference form.

If you do not already have a roommate in mind but would still like to register for shared housing, do not worry: we will be sending a roommate and housemate preferences survey, after registrations have been finalized, to match students in shared housing based on their living habits and preferences!

HOUSING AND DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS

Students may require specific housing due to disability accommodations. The process for requesting disability accommodations for priority housing placement at 黑料正能量 is managed by the Accommodations Coordinator in the Academic Resource Center (ARC) in collaboration with the Housing office.听This process includes completing all the housing forms listed above in addition to submitting the Disability Accommodations form under the 鈥�Visa and Health鈥� tab of the 黑料正能量 Status Page. Please read the detailed process for requesting accommodations within 黑料正能量 Housing in our Housing and Disability Accommodations听page.

Students wishing to be exempt from the housing requirement due to disability needs can request a housing exemption by following the steps outlined in our Housing Requirement听辫补驳别.

• STEP 4: CONFIRM YOUR HOUSING ASSIGNMENT

After the housing office has processed preference submissions, students will receive a housing assignment email with the details of their reservation and billing information.

The housing assignment is confirmed through completion of the first payment. The form Confirm Your Housing Assignment will appear on your 黑料正能量 Status Page after your housing assignment has been processed. Students must confirm their housing assignment by the deadline. • STEP 5: REMAINING PAYMENTS AND PRE-ARRIVAL COMMUNICATION

Students who have completed the first payment and confirmed their housing will have access to the remaining enrollment steps on their checklist, including course registration. Please note that all remaining housing payments must be completed by the stated deadlines.

Students will receive communication throughout the summer with additional information to prepare their arrival to Paris and their move-in to the residence. This includes more details about the amenities and furnishings of their assigned residence, advice on what to pack for their stay, logistical information about Landing Day and the move-in process, and roommate and housemate assignments for students in shared housing.

听ROOMMATE AND HOUSEMATE PAIRINGS听

Students in shared housing will be invited to complete a Housemate and Roommate Preference Survey during the summer. It is important for all students in shared housing to complete this survey, including students who have requested a roommate in their preference form:

• As cancellations may happen after registration, the housing office uses this survey for the most updated housemate/roommate requests, so it is important that you confirm your request through the survey.
• In shared units, students are assigned both immediate roommates, and housemates within the unit. You are guaranteed to be placed with your requested roommate; we will still, however, need to review your living preferences to match you both with additional housemates within the unit.
