Its major objectives are: (1) to work with colleagues around the world to develop critical understandings of the forces shaping contemporary life; (2) to design international projects that transform research, teaching, and policy-making by sharing institutional resources and innovatively using the latest in telecommunication technologies; and (3) to inform expert and lay audiences in the United States and abroad about contemporary cultural issues affecting us all.

at Northwestern University was founded in 2002 as an interdepartmental forum for bringing together School of Communication faculty and students to address the emerging importance of globalization in communication studies. No theme better captures the intellectual challenges of the new century than globalization, especially as mediated by cultural flows and communication technology; and no academic unit of Northwestern University is better positioned to address those challenges than the School of Communication. Although established in the School of Communication, the CGCC offers the opportunity for interdisciplinary scholarly exchanges to members of all Northwestern academic units.

is a community of scientists based in Belgrade, Serbia that fosters reflection, boldness, and a critical approach to research and engaged action; we provide interdisciplinary and socially relevant knowledge to the world at large; we design and implement research on social movements, actively striving for change to the current state of affairs; and we seek to build an open, solidary, and responsible community of researchers with integrity. Insisting on the autonomy of the university, we defend academic freedom in all stages of research as a prerequisite for questioning established and producing new knowledge. Convinced of the important role social sciences and the humanities play in building a better world, we endeavour to continuously communicate our scientific findings with the public, thus encouraging debate and critical thinking.

Outre son fort ancrage disciplinaire repr茅sent茅 par ses cinq centres de recherche en droit administratif, en droit constitutionnel, en droit compar茅, en droit des sciences et techniques et en philosophie contemporaine, l'ISJPS d茅veloppe une r茅flexion transversale, articul茅e suivant cinq axes de recherche (d茅mocratie, environnement, genre, RSE, donn茅es et intelligence artificielle), sur le devenir des normes et des cat茅gories face aux d茅fis du monde contemporain. En droit comme en philosophie, l鈥橧SJPS porte des programmes nationaux et internationaux.
